My oil painting's cracking, like actually cracking, i'm not just bragging?

Ive been doing an oil painting, and the paint's already starting to crack, why is this? and what can i do about it? Or should i just leave it?My oil painting's cracking, like actually cracking, i'm not just bragging?
thats nothing to brag about- its probably the layers not drying evenly- but not associated with thickness, you are probably not following the fat over lean rule, which is most important in oil painting. it basically is you need to lay thin wash layers down first, then build up gradually to the thick layers. also some colors crack more than others- for example, ivory black tends to crack when used by itself, but it doesnt when it is mixed with other colors. but very few colors do this on their own.....My oil painting's cracking, like actually cracking, i'm not just bragging?
You need to follow the ''fat over lean'' rule of painting especially if you are layering your paint. I don't now the extent of the cracking and whether other areas may start cracking later but i wouldn't want to give it or sell it if i thought this would be an on going problem throughout the paintings drying time. Start over and solve this problem now.
you are applying the paint too thickly. Oil paint dries from the inside out which means the innermost layers are trying to dry and there is too much paint on top of it, so it cracked.
It's because of the way you have layered the paint. Just read a bit about oil painting techniques first otherwise your paintings probably won't last very long.

You can't really do much about it now except to scrape back the paint where it's cracking and do that part over.
