The painting is an oil painting of what appears to be Cardinal Pacelli, who later becomes Pope Pius XII, throughout World War II. This painting was procured from the Graymoor Monastery in New York. The painting shows him in a flowing red robe, holding a small bible in the right hand, and a lit cigar in the left.Have a painting of Pope Pius XII, unknown artist, maybe from 1941, oil painting, from Graymoor Monastery.?
Most monasteries would have, or have had, a picture of the Pope or a prominent cardinal somewhere. It's unlikely that most of these have ever been valuable.
However, some online research indicates that Graymoor still exists. Since it does, you should contact the place and ask whether they have any records regarding the painting. If they were selling possessions at some point, there may be some mention of this portrait in a document.
